I've known about the fur trade with cats and dogs since my summer course in college, which was upsetting and maddening all at once... but I had no clue how horrible it really was.

China (and other places too) sends and sells fur to the U.S. under false names where people think they're buying something like a mink coat (or whatever it may be) but it's really cats and dogs. And not only adult cats and dogs, but puppies and kittens. Fur in general shouldn't be bought or supported, but to find out that it's domesticated cats and dogs just pains me even more...

Reading this information brought me to tears realizing how cruel they are to these poor animals just to make a buck. They are literally stealing these dogs and cats from homes and loving families, as well as taking them from the streets as strays, and are then packed tightly into small cages dead or alive, no food or water and treated like objects.

They are skinned alive to keep the fur from being damaged, and they are literally suffering for agonizing minutes after being skinned, in pain, and dying in heeps with others that were treated in the same fashion.

I just don't understand how anyone could mistreat an animal like this under any circumstance. Killing or harming an animal is morally wrong and it has to be stopped. I can't stand thinking that dogs and cats at this very moment are being horribly mistreated just to make a coat, or little trinkets for our own enjoyment. It's sickening. It takes 42 puppies to make one coat, and its been done.

Something needs to be done to stop this, whether its by supporting PETA or any other animal rights organization as well as not buying fur products of any kind. In fact a small step to make a big impact would be to never buy anything with fur. Don't support these horrible people and their cruelty towards these wonderful animals that are in all our lives. It pains me to think that anyone could just sit and do nothing when the facts are given.

Now, onto non-depressing news. I would like to thank everyone for 3,420 pageviews. It seems like the numbers go up about 15 a day now, so thank you.

I just started highschool 2 weeks ago and it's ok. I mean I was melting during the heat wave with no air conditioning but it's getting better now. I went from having 1 classroom, 1 teacher, and 30 kids to 10 classrooms, 10 teachers, 300 kids and 3 floors... so yea, trying to get used to this is hard. And who knew locking/unlocking a locker could be so hard! (thats another story )
